promote the national Plus 5 Electrical Contractor’s program on behalf
of the 6th District of IBEW, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
The 6th District is comprised of locals throughout Illinois, Indiana, Michigan,
Wisconsin and Minnesota.

The +5 Electrical Contractor’s Plan started in the IBEW 6th District over 7 years ago because of a lack of consumer awareness when it came to safe wiring and we saw first hand too many tragedies that could have been avoided. Since then, it has grown to a national level. The overall objectives are to educate consumers about the very real dangers of poor electrical wiring, and to encourage them to use a +5 Electrical Contractor.
